A weird trick I've had good luck with when painting plastics is to first "paint" the entire surface with purple PVC/CPVC primer, then spray paint over that. I did it on some outdoor lighting fixtures and they've held up over several years.

If i were you, I'd build some supports the same height as those seat mounts on the floor and use a truck tuba. Or notch out panel 9 and trim back the sides at the mouth to just squeeze it in there between the mounts.

Once you do a gig with horn loaded subs you'll be astounded how good they sound - and how much your party goers will love the sound without understanding why. They will feel the music like never before without the harshness and ear ringing afterward.

Was more thinking along the lines of the tops. Wanting DR sensitivity, but SLAP size. In reality, the whole thought process is moot without a properly equipped and provisioned boat.
