AHA! That makes sense. Thanks, Seth

PMs not sending?

Seems PMs I submit are getting stuck in my Outbox and not sending. Is there an issue with the site or is it something on my end?
thanks

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

Very true, Bill. Even some tracks from the late 80's and 90's that I used to think thumped sounded pretty thin. Again, glad you put out the tuba designs. Love mine!

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

I put integrated casters on my tubas. Helps a lot, even though they are an awkward size. I stack two of them on dollies I build for pushing them up the ramp into my little trailer, as there isn't much room to stack them once inside. Would be a no brainer on the taller titans. Top40 is relatively lig...

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

Doubt you're going to get a reply, Joman116. I debated between titan39s and tuba30s when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to build. No doubt the t39 is the bomb for live music, but I knew I'd be 95% recorded and lots of EDM so that ultimately made my decision to go with the tubas. No regrets...

Re: Questions for Table Tuba build

6 ish month update. Got the sub in the house, 250 WPC dayton plate amp, main amp is a Cambridge audio receiver, (100WPC class D- yea yea I know), feeding a pair of heresy 1.5 mains. Still blown away- there is an old Telarc CD called Time Warp and its a great checkout disc, that will tax most any sy...

Re: MCM 55-2421 8” driver VS everything

Welcome back, ACUA! I've been out of the loop for a hot minute too, but just set up the whole rig in the backyard because that was a birthday request of one of my kids - hey papa, teach me how to set up/tear down and everything you know about sound reinforecment  Damn, the tubas sound soooooo g...

Re: Duratex over new Plastic enclosure?

A weird trick I've had good luck with when painting plastics is to first "paint" the entire surface with purple PVC/CPVC primer, then spray paint over that. I did it on some outdoor lighting fixtures and they've held up over several years.

Re: T18 in a truck cab

If i were you, I'd build some supports the same height as those seat mounts on the floor and use a truck tuba. Or notch out panel 9 and trim back the sides at the mouth to just squeeze it in there between the mounts.

Re: Old things break....even amps and T39s

Glad you got it all sorted, Bruce. I'm still running a couple ancient CS1000's bridged into my tubas - hopefully they don't hear about a cousin passing away in Texas and follow suit.
