Actually, this is a big effin speaker - a dual 12", 39" T60.

Putting the THT together feels like assembling a bookshelf speaker after building the mighty T60.

General Bracing Question

Is it a problem when the outermost brace at least partially blocks the driver from the outside panels?

In other words consider the attached image. Basically the solid outermost braces constricts the expansion(except to the rear/front).

Thanks,

tom

Re: T60 Bracing Question

TP, Yes... the place in Bristol? or is it Blountstown? I can never keep those towns straight. East of the River or West of the River.... whatever. :noob: He makes weekly trips in to Tallahassee and delivered me three 5x5 1/2" BB for around $100. Great to deal with! I built two Jacks and one W8...

Re: T60 Bracing Question

I went with 3 because it spaced out in the middle of the drivers in the baffle and that's where sketchup shows it. The Sketchup 2x12 is 29 inches wide. I did realize that the sketchup was 29 inches - just made the apparently false assumption that the brace would be best served over the center of th...

Re: T60 Bracing Question

Not sure I want to know the answer - because its too late, but I was a little confused wrt bracing. If building a 39" 2x12 T60 do you use 3 or 4 braces(1/2" brace material). Please be 3, please be 3. tom From the plan : "The braces are spaced no more than 8 1/2 inches apart". Fo...

Re: Template Template

Sorry if this has already been posted, but here is a really simple way to build baffle templates. Only requires routing a circle and cutting some straight edges, screwing them down and routing around them. Once you remove the screws/wood you are left with the master jig. Actually, I haven't seen a ...

Template Template

Sorry if this has already been posted, but here is a really simple way to build baffle templates. Only requires routing a circle and cutting some straight edges, screwing them down and routing around them with a top bearing template bit. The inner material is easily removed by plunging the bit. Re: The Germans must be reading Bill's plans

Table saw guys ... I surrender. Funny, I have yet to find anything that I could do on my tablesaw that I couldn't do with my EZ stuff. Maybe all of our Festool/EZ back and forth earlier in this thread has been resolved by this purchase. Welcome to the land of sanity where we use the best too...

Re: Plywood - Tallahassee, Fl

G'day Tom, Welcome to the forum :) Just keep trying mate, if I can find Arauco in rural Australia, I'm sure you can find it or BB in Tallahassee! Thanks and that's pretty impressive finding Arauco in rural Australia! What are you planning to build? First build will probably be a THT. Also hope to d...

Plywood - Tallahassee, Fl

Anybody got any suggested BB(or pine) suppliers in the Tallahassee Area?

I've called and called - seems everyone uses China Birch.

Thanks,

tom
