Re: RTA'd my speakers, here's what I got. What does it mean

I got to redo my tuning today. I used the same setup (x overs at zero gain) and then ran it for Flat, Band and Speech. I recorded the db changes for each frequency and then charted them in a spreadsheet and graphed. Here is what I got. BFS Tuning chart 1.jpg Interesting where the changes are with e...

Re: OT12 and T48 combination

'm curious about your design considerations for choosing the SLA-Pro as centre fill, compared to say, another Otop12 melded? How does the SLA-Pro compare tonally to the Otop 12, and do you find you need to EQ it differently? Hi Boyd Thanks for the kind words  . Regarding your centre fill ques...

Re: First Build THTLP - Joining question

Just starting my first build, a 17" wide THTLP loaded with a Lab 12. Local lumber yard only had one sheet of 4x8 BB, and plenty of 5x5, so I bought the 4x8 and ripped it down to 18" for the cabinet sides, my problem is now panel #1 which is 72" long, and all I have is 60" materi...

Re: OT12's with compression drivers

Yes thank you for this review. Could you let us know what settings you applied to your crossover in respect of both the lf driver and the comp unit in terms of frequency and slope and also the voltage limit you applied to the beyma's....regards..Frank Leamy

Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro

My favourite sound quality piezo tweeter I've heard so far was from Maplin, but the horn design is wrong for the melded array and they are £7.99 each £4.99 when I got them (RS components used to do them 97dB sensitivity too and theirs were a little more bright in the 3-6khz range), so not as smooth...

Re: Anyone got any experience of the Thomann T-Amp?

This is mostly going to be for the guys in Europe. Has anyone used any of the Thomann amps? The T-Amp D4-500 seems like an absolute steal for the price. http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tamp_d4500.htm I emailed their tech people and they say the power is RMS. So, is it too good to be true? Andy hi ther...

hello everyone, I have been meaning to post here and this recent post from bzb has given me a reminder to do so. I have had considerable success with remote control of the 01v using cubase sx, 2 wireless laptops and a similar usb to midi converter as used by bzb. The beauty of this setup is that cub...
