Thanks Bruce. Really enjoyed that. That band sounds like they'd be a pleasure to work for.
Heard a lot of steel guitar and fiddle on the track, do they have that live?

Congrats!
By the way, that shot looks like it came out of a magazine. Great job by the photographer and the "models".
Best wishes for your newly enlarged family,

Re: Standard rate for soundman/PA?
Another thing is to price yourself out fully and if you want to give a discount, put that on the invoice as a separate line item. That way they know the value of the work being performed and it prevents you from being taken advantage of by others who also want that low price. I'm currently doing so...

Re: Sh*t Happens
Hey Bruce, If that Peavey head has a Pre-Amp out jack and Power-Amp In jack, I'd clean those as well. When you plug into the preamp out jack, it disconnects the preamp from the power amp. Sometimes the switch on the jack gets a little dirty and is enough to break the signal going to the power amp.

Re: DJ Facade
Revers the hinges so that the sides don't fold into where the LED's are mounted, but rather in the other direction. Meaning that the two wings fold toward the "outside", or side that the people see, of the facade. That will allow it to fold as flat as possible and you can then mount the li...

Hey miked, In regards to your troubles with the circular saw sled, I experienced difficulties as well. Found out that shoe of my circular saw was not square with the blade, causing all kinds of havoc when trying to use a sled. I was able to shim mine over to get it square, but you would expect it to...

lol charlotte. Dont worry raleigh is perhaps in more dire straights. Surely Charlotte isn't that bad Ohhhhh yes it is. The biggest problem with Charlotte is that it wants to be a world-class city, but the population isn't exactly "world-class." The city plans poorly, taxes wantonly, and s...

Also consider foam ear plugs for the 1/4" jacks. Only problem is losing them.
I think Leland also sells some 1/4" plugs for sealing them as well...

I have a cover for an amp from a co. called Designed 2 Fit. They are an ebay seller and make a variety of covers. They may have a pattern in stock that would fit.

Re: Setting Limiters
I don't own a DCX, so this is just a dumb newbie question... Couldn't you set up a couple of different profiles in the limiter? Say one limit for the amp being attenuated at 50% and another profile to limit the output of the DCX with the amp attenuated at 75% and another for the amp full on to "...
