Last gig outdoors this summer
We played our last outdoor gig for the summer last nite. Used 8 Titan 48's 6 OT112's and 2 OT212's, left the other 6 OT112's in the trailer. Had a crowd of about 2,000 in a city block. This was our first time at this event and had a lot of great comments about how good the sound was. This was also t...

New OT212's
I have 2 new OT212's with 2512's and NSD 2005's that I used for the first time this weekend. They are great! Fri nite for an 80's band outdoors we used 4 T48's centered, 2 OT112's and 1 OT212 on each side ( on top). It was very clean and very loud! I use a DBX Driverack PA and turned the main...

Re: Good Deal on a Used Mackie 1604 VLZ Pro?
I have own this mixer for about 7 years and it's been to the shop twice. The tech says there is a problem with the ribbon connector on this model. The 1604 has some good points but all and all used I'd be a little careful. Mine runs hot all the time. There are better units on the the market. I say d...

Re: berhringer
Has anybody heard of berhriger mixers. I have heard some say they are pretty good. They are said to be mackie knockoffs at a 1/3 of the price. I wanted to use these in our smaller units. I have a Behringer MX9000 which is a 24ch x 8 and have had no trouble with it. The head room is limited so you h...

Re: Need Multi-Pins and stage boxes
Any one have a source for reasonably priced multi-pin connectors, stage boxes, snake cable and connectors etc as I am starting a couple of projects and cannot find a good source for parts. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I get wire here-http://stores.shop.ebay.com/The-Republic-of-Texas-Music...

Re: 12x8 BFM system
Paul, Do you own that stage? No, it belongs to the city. I've done about 10 shows on it. This is the stage I'm considering to buy. Paul, how did you secure ther Otops? Are they simply stacked? They have locking corners and are just stacked. Sometimes I will stap them all together. what's it like wh...

Re: 12x8 BFM system
Tell us about the boxes and what is in them. The subs are 27" with 3015LF's. The mains are OT112's with 2512's, 10 with 6 piezo's, 2 with 12 melded with pole pockets. The grills are stretched metal with 1/4" A/C foam. Everything is right from the plans-That's way they work so good! 8) :ii...

12x8 BFM system
Here are some pics of last Sat. nite. Had 3 bands in six hours with out a hitch. All bands were very happy with the sound. The client was very pleased saying " It's loud and sounds clear but we can still talk." Just what you wanna hear. :D I was running about a 100db at FOH 100ft. from sta...

Re: Check my math for my T48 amp please.....
I run 8 27" Titans with 3015fl's, 2 on each ch. of a QSC 2450 with out any problems.
They have a problem keeping up my 12 OT112's when placement for the subs is a problem.

Re: table saw help
The table saw I use is a delta, it was my dads which he bought in the 50's! It's cast with the original fence, motor has been replace and he built the stand out of 1" black gas pipe. Still works great. What ever you buy make sure it's safe and you use it right!

Re: Omnitop12 non-spec combat run
OTops and DR's are worse off because there are many variables involved in terms of a variety of drivers and piezos and everyone rolling their own DSP settings, or in some cases no DSP at all. Therefore my OTops could potentially sound awful compared to somebody else's or vise versa. Therefore we ca...
I assume he means 6 element flat arrays and 12 element melded.
Good point, I'd been assuming when he said melded he meant the crossfiring melded not just an array of tweeters "melded" together instead of uncut and screwed into the tweeter mounts.
I guess I wasn't re...

Re: New BF system
I would second the suggestions of having more boxes w/melded arrays as part of that rig. All my OT12's have melded arrays in them. 10 with 6 and 2 with 12. I think the ones with 6 sound a little better then the ones with 12. Bill's charts show a flatter response with 6 melded then with 12. The 12 h...
