Did a quick check to make sure all 4 channels were working, then proceeded to take off the top panel and reverse the fans so that they blow the same direction as the Crowns in the rack. Left it running to simmer for a while, then I'll test it again before racking it up.

Oh! Almost forgot...
When my 4 channel Behringer bit the dust, I was still able to sell it on Ebay for $100. I guess there's guys out there that fix and flip them. A hundred bucks is a hundred bucks.

Honestly, just not worth the time to list it and ship it. I've offered it up to my buddy.....if he doesn't want it, it goes in the trash. Even though I hate throwing away gear.

They say opposites attract. I think that's BS. If it were true, there would be young, thin, beautiful women chasing me all the time.
Yeah, utter BS indeed. I would have old, fat and ugly ladies going after me all the time
Monitor amp is racked and tested. Everything should be ready to go again. Now, to re-load the trailer.
Oh, and I tested the broken Crown amp.....Channel two is shot. Channel one seems to be working ok. I guess that's why it was trash in bridge mode. So, I have a single channel test amp for the bench now.

Funniest thing I've heard in months! Thanks for that, Anton. Hilarious twist. Ahhhh... I needed that.

When it rains it pours......I been spending so much money lately, it seems like my wife's been shopping...
Trying to update some songs on my old, old, old iPad for my setlist app.....can no longer do it and the app that would make it work isn't available for that old iPad 2. Oh well, it's been there mostly for my music library and a backup for mixing.

For me, money and food are very similar. I try to be mindful of my diet, but then the best sales person of bad ideas (the voice in my head) starts in. Oh, it'll be okay, just this once, just a little bit, back on the game tomorrow. Four weeks later I'm eyeballs deep into a donut binge. Same with money. Just this one splurge. Uh huh. Sure. Four weeks later I'm wondering where my little pile of cash went.

Seth, check out Ozempic (Semaglutide). It worked for me while I was on it. You can find it online without a doctor. Just knocks your hunger, cravings, urges down, way down.
The new sub amp and monitor amp have been put through their paces at the latest Concert in the Park...all went well. Last night was the first time to use the new sub amp at the Opry-style Country music show. We just use the two 20 inch T39s for that show and always use the same amp - which is the one I replaced. Put my normal music through it and it was way heavy on the bass side. I guess that old amp had been weak for a long time. I had to go into the Driverack to rebalance the rig for that scene.
It was so unbalanced that I thought something was wrong with the tops....then had the "oh crap" moment when I realized just how little we were getting from that old sub amp.
Of course, since things are starting to fall apart on me - Last Thursday, my router wouldn't connect. Fortunately, a few months ago, I bought a spare. Ran to the truck and pulled it out, the show went on just fine.
Since I'm just babbling anyway.....
I have helped out a little church in a nearby town keep their old stuff running. The Mackie mixer finally bit the dust and I suggested one of the Yamaha MG series (no, I didn't even consider digital - they can barely run the little analog mixers). They got it in and I went in on Monday to install it. We fired it up and I was totally blown away by how much better sounded than the old one. I was able to get the old one to sound decent, but this was like taking a blanket off the speakers. The clarity was amazing.
They had been fretting over buying all new powered speakers, but I was able to convince 'em that their old QSC RMX amp and the EV speakers on the wall were just fine. The new board gave that old PA a new lease on life. Very satisfying.
