Yep,thats a gap I don't know how my template ended up with a gap in it but its cool,no one will be in my bedroom but me and my wife (unless she has a boyfriend ).

Just take your time and keep in mind that u r gonna stain the end result and for that reason i used brad nails instead of screws,the wood filler isnt so apparent when covering up brad nail holes.
