I used the Madisound 3" midbasses and Goldwood GT-302 tweeters.
Antonz oddly enough I got the idea to do that on one hole lol.I drilled a hole in the middle with a 3/16 drill bit.i'm about to go tackle the 1" holes and its 5 degree's outside,i will drill holes in all the centers first, that should help. Thanks for the tip.

It is not about a hole in the centers, it is about a few holes touching the circle that the hole saw cuts so the saw dust can fall down instead of filling up the circle that the saw is cutting. Sorry if I am not writing it down very clearly, I'm not a native english writer :noob:

For drilling smaller diameter holes in wood, a Frostner bit is the way to go. It doesn't saw into wood, it shaves it. So it takes less speed and runs cooler. Plus it makes nice really nice clean holes. It the only thing I'll use to make holes.

Just make sure to have a piece of sacrifical wood underneath to prevent possible chip-out.

I understood what you meant AntonZ,it worked a lot better.
Jimbo I thought about that but the holesaw worked out and I didn't have any tear outs to fill.

Looks nice. My TTLS is almost ready for staining. I know what you mean about the MI winters. I did all the cutting out in the garage and then brought the parts inside and assembled it in the living room.

How is that tweeterless curved SLA working for you, djtrumptight?

its working pretty good,i haven't hooked it up to a good 5.1 receiver yet but the SLA's sound ALOT better than the cheap pioneer system its replacing.I still have to order a receiver and a Bash plate amp for the T 18.

Is there a bigger gap after below top 2 tweets in your SLAs, or is it just a trick of the photography?
