Re: T45 Coming soon!!!

I'm glad that it wasn't just me! I thought I was going insane... again. :? A small holdup... I`m finding the same error as Fester did with his T45 build on the first baffle brace. It's sized about half inch too big to fit properly. Already measured 3x~ over from all sides and can't make it fit. Bill...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

Its music (peak, not constant), Radiohead... however I'm still a bit green when it comes to getting the limiter set properly and this voltage was WITH load... not without... so I'm feeling lucky that I didn't blow it up. All the threads I've read here about limiter set up say to set max volts WITHOU...

Re: Peavey IPR 110/220 volt conversion

yeah I get 50ish Volts with no load, but once loaded it goes down, significantly. Are limiters meant to be set with no load or load? I need to read some limiting docs again...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

update... test completed, rattled a lot of stuff off the shelves! All thats left to do is cut some hand holds and the last overlap piece off, and source some duratex from somewhere :( db Meter is from 1m away... not corner loaded, sub is in the middle of the room so not necessarily accurate because ...

Re: Peavey IPR 110/220 volt conversion

I've been testing out my new T45 with the IPR 1600 and I have to say, It's difficult to hit 50v on it... the closest I can get is 40v, with the average being 35v. I am coming directly out of my computer, into the driverack, sub crossed over at 35hz/90hz, been playing around with the limiters to try ...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

as I posted in another thread, I have just tried an experiment with the final panel on this sub... I put gasket tape (like driver cover) along all of the edges of all panels that are flush with the final side (except for a small bit at the end... ran out of tape!). I then screwed the final side in p...

Re: 2 x Jack 112 Lite

hahaha, I'm sure we've all had a scare from a louder than expected blast of noise... Mine was with headphones, late at night, around 3am, trying to finish some work... had been listening to some music, forget the track/artist but there sneaky mixing artist had made the last few min of one track very...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

almost there! I wanted to ask opinions on the design of the final brace... In the sketchup model the curved braces are flush where they meet, but I cut my horizontal brace a bit too shallow. It doesn't look all that bad, I'm just wondering if it really needs to be flush? I had a really hard time get...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

final panel installed, phew! now for those braces... ugh, string and pins to measure the oval cutout shapes, no fancy tools here! Pretty happy with them so far. Just have the two reflector panels at the rear and a few braces to go. Final side is ready to go, driver run in, oh yeah, also have to do a...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

the measurement for the top corner of where panel 1&2 join is slightly out, but by less than 1/8. on the next one I'm going to measure everything out (including all the baffles) first to make sure everything fits correctly. Right now I'm having to measure all the baffles manually as the measurem...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

nevermind on last comment, just ripped a couple of dodgy holes in them and threw them in ;) To help with any confusion about air-leaks (previous question) I have the latest update... panel 9 installed, only two more main panels and their braces (going to have a go at the scooped braces, they look sw...

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

sooo.... whats the minimum distance between holes in the bracing? I dont want to honeycomb it TOO much, but would like to drill/hacksaw out the middle of the larger braces that aren't seen but not sure how far to go with it..

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

arg, another rookie mistake, created a parallelogram /=/ instead of a rhombus /=\ shape for panel 9... that'll teach me for trying to cut after dark on the deck on a sunday night in the rain... hehe

Re: T45 the baby T60 is born :)

actually, both wrong, holes are intentional, don't worry ;)

the gap at the very front of the cab is for the next panel, (not installed yet) and the holes in the driver chamber section are necessary for my selected driver.
