Power Distro 3 phase questions

Ok guys here is my question that I have been wanting an answer to and the answer I get 99 percent of the time is you should not be messing with that stuff anyway. I have racpac's that Jim at the Ampshop is building for me they have the 50 amp twist locks feeding them(100 total both legs). I tie into...

I have a friend who is giving me a good deal on his services 20 plus years orchestra and touring FOH experience and a Yamaha M7-V2 plus shotgun condensers for 850 so basically I will bring racks and stacks and still come out li...

Re: How to place condensers to mic a marching band

I did not know about the phasing when they move from mic to mic is that anything that the gates could help. I mic bands but this is something new to me as I or none of my techs have done this before. I may try to get some subcontract help or just try to outsource that part of it all together. I have...

How to place condensers to mic a marching band

I have a gig coming up on the 12th of September at a Historically Black College Football festival. This year I have been asked to add reinforcement to the battle of the bands which will be performing on the field after the game and performing a couple of songs during halftime. I have 8 condensers, 8...

Re: RTA/EQ failures need suggestions

Why are you using Behringer??? If your equipment is used 2-4 times weekly, it must be professional grade. IMO, leave the Behringer to the college kiddie who entertains Britney Spears in his dorm room. It just kind of happened that way when I first started this crazy idea about going into production...

Re: Tuba Madness

No I do not get any noise from them at all its actually very transparent as I use these on all of my cabs to get that pro look. I use them on my BFM horns, Labhorns and custom double 18 clamshell subs that I have . They do the most good though on DR's because most promoters around here listen with t...

Tuba Madness

This is a DJ event that i did here a couple of weeks ago with about 600 people there. The stage was too low to v plate the cabs so I just set them 6 wide. Front of house was about 75 feet back. The sound was nice and full and as the night went on I pushed the the faders a little harder. These things...

Good feedback Dave I was winding down at a gig last Saturday and with a little Bud Light just walked the room and reflected on my 280, Titan 48 setup. And said to myself damn this rig sounds good and listening with ears instead of checkbooks. And to sum it all up and this is most of what matters is ...
