Re: Take care of your back!
I am a doctor of over thirty years and have taken care of many back strains and injuries, and I have arthritis with a compresion fx of L3 wich is way down in the low back. Lifting correctly is very important but I find that most of the injuries I see come from not lifting in front of you. Lifting to...

Re: Folded Horn Enclosures: How do they work?
It all sounds too complicated for mear mortals to understand, so we need to go back to the basics. Take this horn and wrap it around yourself with the horn end to your ear and you can blow your own brains out of their container. Phil

Re: New usb or firewire computer interface
Well the used Delta 1010 just came in. It is in great shape, put it into my rack and inserted the board and loaded the latest driver and it works just fine. Still playing around with all the setting so we will see. I am thinking of using my old tascam 1641 as a pre amp. Plug the vocal and instrament...
Re: QSC GX3
I have a GX5 that runs 2 T39's and 2 DR 250's. Never had the sub channel above 5 and the tops over 2-3 in hundred person setting. We play acustic music so it is quieter.
I like the QSC amps. for the money. Phil

Re: New usb or firewire computer interface
Thanks again for all the information. Reaper is up and running and I have midi, but the midi latency is a problem( delayed sound when playing the keyboad), No audio or play back issues. I have changed all the settings but the tascam is just not fast enough for me. So I bought a used M Audio Delta 10...

Re: New usb or firewire computer interface
Thanks for all of the great information. Operating system : I have often hated the change from XP, 7 seems OK, Vista was a real pain. My recording studio is a desk top with most of the best bells and whistle as of 1 1/2 years ago. I did down load the trial of Reaper and am still in the learning curv...

Re: New usb or firewire computer interface
Thanks guys, Moto and M Audio are recomended by Sonar. I may be too old to use 2 DAW. But I was thinking of loading my lite copy of Cubase just to see if it works.
I was wondering about Presonus, I would like a rack mount the best. Thanks again guys Phil

New usb or firewire computer interface
I have: Windows 7 -32, tascam 1641, Axium 25 keyboard, and Sonar 8 and a fast computer. The tasam 1641 is the problem - Sonar does't like it, and I need to replace it with something better for my recording studio. I need to stay in the $500- $600 range and at least 4 inputs - minimum. Any suggestion...

I have 4 cabs with high build that could use some touch ups. Will this new product match it or do you think I need a whole new coating? Phil

Re: I can't even get past the panel jig....
Make sure everything is straight and smooth,: the track, the slat/slide. You can use candle wax as a lubricant Just rub it on, but if it is sticking that much, something is not straight. Make a new slide and adjust it until it slides easily, put it into the tract and then attach to the top board mak...

Won't wood constuction be very heavy for a VW van? If wood is the only constuction option, conside using plywood for the braces, cut to the needed depth and lenght and glue and brace as needed. Drilling lightening holes say 1 1/2" every 6-8 inches will help cut weight too. Phil
