Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
Thanks Leland. If you didn't do what you do, one of use would have to step up and start selling kits, and probably not do half as good as you do. You're welcome. It was just kind of a happenstance. People kept asking where to get stuff for the cabs. I just happened to have wholesale access t...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
Now i gotta find a place to get my parts. I assume leland isn't the only one offering parts. Correct - Leland is not the only one offering parts. He's just the least expensive. ;) And if there's anything wrong with your order you actually have someone who understands the importance of customer serv...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
A router/spiral saw is almost a must for a DR. It can be done with a jig saw, or even a coping saw  . You have to be able to cut circles. http://www.tylertool.com/mak2710porta.html do u think that would work. one of my friends has one. A table saw is a huge plus. I borrowed one for my first ...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
I am only giving you options and opinions. A DR200, along with any other cab Bill has designed, can be built with not much more than a circular saw, a jig(sabre) saw, and a hammer and nails. The DRs just have a lot more steps to them, and take a lot of time and patience. Given your wants and needs,...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
If you can build an Omni, you can build a DR. The DRs just take a lot more time to build, that's why they have a higher build difficulty rating. They are well worth the effort, In My Humble but Informed Opinion. After A/Bing DR200, DR250, OT12 and my O10 at Tim A's, the decision on what model to bu...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
+1 to what DJphatman said. IF you're starting from scratch and want our advice, please let us know the following: 1) how are you going to move all this stuff around? (and will you have people to help you schlep it or is it all solo work?) 2) how big of a crowd do you currently play for, and how big...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
I'm glad to see your enthusiasm but wait till a Dj with experience with either of these cabs to chime in so you get what you want from these cabs. I am a drummer in a country band and am still learning about sound so what I say should be taken with a grain of salt. I just don't want you to build so...

Re: DJ FroZone has arrived with a barrage of questions
IMO for a DJ I'd think you want 2 omni 10's or O top 12's, just my O. and a Tuba 24. But that all depends what you have for crowds, if you get more people just add more of the same cabs. I would definetly build 2 of what every you end up building. For an amp, it dosn't take much to run them. Behring...
