I couldn't agree more! And for a mobile DJ, the T39s are much easier to handle.DJDAVE wrote:Although I haven't used this in a real world situation, based on what I heard, this should be advertised for live bands and dj's.

Re: OT12 - T39 Combo
It was dark before I got home, but I promise to post a picture at some point. In the meantime, here is a description: 1. Remove the headrests from the back seats. 2. Move the front seats far enought forward to squeeze a T39 on the floor bewteen the front and back seats. 3. Place two OT-12s on top of...

Re: OT12 - T39 Combo
I managed to tetris all 8 speakers, two 8U racks, speaker stands and cables in to a Honda CR-V. Now THAT would have been a good picture! :D I might take that picture this evening as I haven't unpacked yet. It took three days to figure it all out, but if anyone has a CR-V, I will be happy to ...

Re: OT12 - T39 Combo
Unfortunately no pics. I managed to tetris all 8 speakers, two 8U racks, speaker stands and cables in to a Honda CR-V. After that, I had room for either a camera or an iPod and chose the iPod.David Carter wrote:Sounds like you had a blast--literally!![]()

OT12 - T39 Combo
Believe it or not, this past weekend was the first time I have been to a venue where I could set up my entire rig of 4 – OT12s and 4-T39s V-plated and powered by a pair of Xti-2000s. Prior to this, I have tried on two separate occasions to RTA this set-up outside, but I’ve never made it to completio...

Re: Recommend Router Template Bit and Follower
Ideally, the bit would be an up-spiral type designed for cutting out holes. And a roller top bearing. Bruce, I have never seen such an animal (doesn't mean they don't exisist though). Any reason for going this route instead of using a template guide? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001A0YCOY/ref=...

Re: T39/OT12 Limit/Crossover
Dennis, I am more conservative than most about my upper limits. Most of the time, this means 50% of rated input power. Bruce, I'm completely on board with this philosophy which is why I asked for the 50% power in the OP. From what I can gather, it appears that I don't need to be concerned with over...

Re: TLAH - First Real Listen
Where those 4 39's you built plugged in? And how much did you drink? T39s not plugged in. The point of the TLAH was to keep the kids from using my pro gear when they want to listen to music. How much should I drink? I built the 8 ohm version. I guess if you go with the 4 ohm version you...

Re: TLAH - First Real Listen
My stereo/HT rig is modest to say the least. All my money goes towards my DJ gear. Components are a Sony STR-DE985 receiver and a Sony SA-WM40 sub. Someday I will build the TT, but it is about 3rd down on my list.
