the only baltic birch i have seen over here is $180-300 per 4x8 sheet

i wonder if they call them that across the pond here
i needed some fender washers when i was building a drum kit last year and no one knew what they were. the specialist fastener shop even said no we dont have anything like that
i sadly had to end up buying some from the US

do you mean radiata pine??
over here it the main timber around you can get it in ply. rough cut and dressed boards, treated. they use it for house frames. there is plantations everywhere. it matures in 15 to 20 years i think so it isnt the most stable timber about.

i just used that rch tone generator thing and made a file and put it onto cd. it has a bit of a click but it wasnt too bad from memory
