Re: Question for 01V Users

I don't know about the distorting channels, There is a fix on the yahoo 01V group for the rebooting problem on some of the older units.

Re: DIY stage

I've built several stages for indoor venues before, but last summer I did an outdoor show for a neighborhood block party and the owner came up with a pretty good idea. He had two foot by four foot straw bales placed in rows under sheets of plywood screwed together on 1x4 studs. It worked really well...

Fast Autotuba build.

My daughter asked for more bass for her car for her birthday. She's a chip off the old block. I went to the shop to start the build at 5:30 pm and I put the last panel on at 10:00pm. I'll take some pictures tomorrow while the daughter and I sand and duratex it. Wow, the AT is an easy no hassle kind ...

Re: Carvin Concert Series mixers

I used a 24 channel concert series last week at a show. They said it was about a year old. The eqs were decent, but the tracks had noticable bleed through, and alot (about half) of the pots and faders were scratchy and 'pop'y. I wouldn't rely on the built in effects either. Carvin makes alot of good...

Re: Kick Bass and Bass guitar

I don't know if these tricks have been mentioned or not. (I haven't read the whole thread) A nice trick for getting the bass and the kick to play nice together is to bring up the bass a couple db with a sharp q at the same low mid cut frequency of the kick. (the cut that pulls the ring out of the ki...

Re: deq2496 drops the audio

I had a problem with the deq dropping audio when I sent it a 24 / 96 signal. I switched to /48 and it was fine.

Re: Yamaha Digital Mixers

I use an origional 02r v2. It works really well for live sound although its not really made for it.
I've heard of people not liking the 03d for some reasons. Check the prosoundweb live audio forum.

I have a question. Why did you not trim down the long sides of the piezos? Yeah, I know it will probably affect the responce somewhat. They are trimmed on the omni 2x12s (From Speakerhardware) but I didn't like how flimsy they feel with the edges cut off. I'm wanting these to be pretty strong floor...

melded piezo with petscreen

Hi,
I just finished a couple melded piezos for the w10 plans.
After I got them together I glued the petscreen right to the piezos with black abs glue. I don't know if it anything new, but I think it looks pretty cool.

Here's a pic.

I've had good luck with the auroco so far. Although in retrospect I think I would use t-nuts instead of hurricane nuts. It took quite a bit more epoxy to keep them from spinning compared to baltic birch. (maybe because of the slightly different density.)

Thanks for the replies and concerns. I actually have a 2 or 3 three month time period. Maybe I'm being a little bit optimistic with a month and a half. I do plan on starting with the Titans and then the Otops and then the wedges. I have an entire month off from school in June so I'm hoping to start ...

New to BFM cabs making a house PA system

Hi everybody, I'm Bruce from the Quad Cities, on the border of Iowa and Illinois. I'm going to build a PA for one of the live clubs I'm running sound for in the next month or so. I've got 4 Titan 48s, 2 Omnitop 2x12s, and 3 wedge 10 kits coming from Leland at Speakerhardware.com and almost all the p...
