Re: What delay to aim for with THTLP
Thanks! Dont think the MSO works for me since im using the two subs in stereo mode, not mono. However, I found a couple of threads on the net stating something like this: add delay to the main speakers corresponding to the length of the horn. Then flip polarity on the mains and look for a deep null ...

What delay to aim for with THTLP
Hi,
Getting close to finishing my build. Just wanted to know what people ended up with regarding delay on the main speakers. Should I start out with the length of the horn and trim from there?

Re: THTLP bracing problem
Would it be ok to use 1/2" mdf for the second mounting plate? I dont have much plywood left and the bits I have over for this purpose is quite warped. Im worried to not be able to get an airtight seal towarda the baffle.

Re: THTLP bracing problem
Maybe an alternative would be to add a distance to the baffle to make the baffle thicker. That would make the driver extrude less into the horn

I've mounted the baffles (no 6 in the plans) and run into som questions regarding the braces connecting the baffle to the beginning of the horn throat (panel 2/6 braces). My problem is this: my drivers have extended surrounds, so Im using a separate mountin...

Could this be a suitable driver for a 24" THTLP?
Hi all, new on this forum. Autumn is coming and time to build some speakers. Trying to keep cost down I would like to use a pair of 15" drivers I already own. Its a pair of JBL SUB1500 and they have the parameters seen in the attachement. The FS, VAS, Xmax etc seem to be fit the bill. What do y...
