Re: Two 4-Ohm cabs daisy-chained for 8-Ohm load?
Thanks all. Agreed, 4x12 is generally overkill... but to the original question - I have two 4 Ohm 2x12 cabs for two SS amps that like running @ 4 Ohms. I also have a tube amp that only likes 8 ohms, so I was looking for a way to simply mod the 4 Ohm cabs to use with the 8 Ohm amp. Gear is left at di...

Two 4-Ohm cabs daisy-chained for 8-Ohm load?
Hello - Wondering if there's an answer out there... I have two 2x12 guitar cabs with 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel for a 4 Ohm load. I'd like to add a jack & daisy chain them in series, to raise the total load to 8 Ohms. Is this possible without anything other than a properly wired jack? If s...

1 Amp for 2 pair SLA Pro?
Hello- I am building out 2 pair of SLA Pros - a pair of 4x6 & a pair of 2x6. Running as suggested, with the 2x6's under the 4x6's, is there any consensus on a single amp to power all 4 speakers? Thank you very much. - Rob

Sketchup Suggestion for New Builders
I'm a rookie, & I've been poring over the posts with interest. I have not seen this before, but my apologies if it's redundant... I use Sketchup within my own business & whenever I have a complicated build, or a piece with a lot of interior parts, I give contrasting colors to adjoining piece...

Re: Recommended Saw Blades?
Again, this is only my opinion... I have a few Freuds in the shop.. picked up at the local big box in a pinch, but they just aren't in the same class as the WW2. I've also used other high-end blades like CMT etc. & the WW2 comes out as the best all-around every time. Woodworking is my livelihood...

Re: Recommended Saw Blades?
The Woodworker 2 is probably the best blade going. For what it's worth, I own a woodworking business, I've tried many, & the WW 2 is all I use on my table saw. Nice thin kerf, excellent & lasting performance. Yes, they are comparatively expensive, but the old adage is very true - you get wha...

Re: Any tips on buying a table saw??????
For what it's worth, I'm a woodworker by trade, so I guess I'll offer my two cents... Take in all the advice given thus far - consider your space & power requirements, rip capacity, dust control etc. The best blade is a Woodworker 2. It's $110 & worth every penny. It's thin kerf will aid an ...
