Re: Best Bass Cab Combinations

I am still puzzled. Do you rent out speaker cabinets to customers, and they set up their own PA? Or, do you provide PA support for whomever asks for you?

Re: Best Bass Cab Combinations

It sounds like you have two different situations going. One, is rental. Two is your own PA. Am I correct?

Re: Best Bass Cab Combinations

Abushalom, I read your post, and I am puzzled. If one is looking for a bass cab for audience of 10,000 people, wouldn't the bass run through a DI and go into the PA?

Nice!
Note- you move Mr. Potato head.
Did you swap the cabs side to side? Any difference in SQ?

Re: Driver suitability for TTLS

Interesting room. I see projections that will help break up standing waves. Sloped ceiling helps in offering control of bass frequencies as well. Is that brick structure with the cacti on it, a storage on the other side, or is it a bell (for heat storage) for the fireplace? Bill recommended the 16&q...

Re: Spacers and phase plug clarification on a J12L

I would say that since the spacer will be trapped between the baffle and the driver, with screws holding the driver in, there will be no problem. For the phase plug, if you run a screw through the back side of the baffle, and into the phase plug (pre-coated with PL), again, there should not be a pro...

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022

Chris, the photos of the horn adapter that CarterKraft shared, are not set straight. However, on my laptop, FF on Ubuntu 22.04, if I centre-click on each photo so that they open up in a new tab, the photos are set correctly.

Re: Forum Maintenance: 14th September 2022

Things to be completed tomorrow: - Upgrade lightbox (the fancy thing that shows the pictures) - Fix Tapatalk: it's been broken forever/never worked - Release the updated style (Think I've fixed everything, just waiting for the cache to catch up so I can validate) - Fix the errors in splchart - LIgh...

Re: Driver suitability for TTLS

G-Train, welcome to the forum! When I read that you have that large of a room, I immediately thought that you should go the 4-singles route. Whether they are 16 or 22, I would suggest 22", getting the most out of the bottom end....but that is oooonly if Bill says that your driver will work well...

Seth, I don't know if it is still possible but, years ago, I would start a new folder once a folder got full. This way I could still keep the old conversations while saving more current ones.

Re: Finally! Omni 12 Tall Boy build

I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to route the baffle, I used my circle cutter etc. and I can't even remember now what happened but I screwed it up with about 5% left :chainsaw: Did that happen with the router, using the circle jig? If so, one has to go super slow when coming to that la...
