Has anyone used LED worklights or shop lights for a cheap stage wash?
I'd be looking for recommendations for brand (I know I've seen a club that uses these white Menards ones for their outdoor stage, $39 each, and Harbor Freight has some for $25 each).
Also any filters that help with the light? Or maybe I'll just gel them?
These are half the price or less compared to LED lights over at cheaplights, which is why I'm inclined to try them out.

Re: cheap lighting
I get the feeling I'd be frustrated by work lights.
Anyone have suggestions for lighting a bar band in small spaces?
- Mounting cans or color strips above/below FOH speakers on the stand?
- Colorstrips or cans at the front of the stage?
- etc?
Thanks

I use ADJ Par 56 LED, but any LED fixture will do based on your budget. Between $70-$100 per fixture is the going rate new. If your lucky you can get them cheaper on ECraigsBayList.
I have used these recently to mount under the top boxes on the tripod stand.

I also use a piece of PVC pipe (see below)with an inside diameter of roughly the size of the stand between the clamp. This prevents scratches on the stands.
I'll use 1 Par on each side as a wash going across the stage then 1 Par each side set to sound activated crossing the dance floor. That is the best budget light show I have ever seen.
But as always, the more lights the better you sound.
