The way I figured it, the "In -" or ground connection is common to all in and out connections - in the center of the pic.
The 2 "In +" connections would actually be tied together since they get the same signal from the speaker jack.
Yes...?

Yep. Maybe he meant to invert the phase of the tweeter array? If you're going to do that, I would do it on the output of the crossover though. Especially since you tie your grounds together between the low and highpass filters.

Getting very close. Shot a base-coat of black on all the cabinets over the weekend. Next, the Duratex. Crossovers are wired, mattress topper bought. I am seriously ready to hear these.
In case you're wondering, 2 of the subs are for a Children's worship space at church... but the rest is all mine!
Also, one question for those who have built OTop 112s: What's the best way to glue in the diffuser rod on the melded array? I'm using PVC pipe painted black. Airplane glue? Hot-melt? Something else?

yes that will be quite the rig. just imagine the spl of 4 cabs corner loaded! I'm thinking around 140 db at the mouth? you may need another pair of ots!
Before Fitzmaurice, big bass could only be had with just a hook and a nightcrawler.

Re: A pair of OT112s and some T39s
Thanks for the kind words. I'm getting very close to the end. Maybe this weekend...?
First, a shout-out to Leland. I live about an hour from him and he graciously agreed to meet me to get a gallon of Duratex. Got the tour of his new shop and chatted for a bit. Impression: nicest guy you could know.
I've spent the last couple of days making friends with the Duratex. This is some weird stuff. I've read multiple tips and hints on application - special rollers, etc. - and settled on a small, generic foam roller. This made application and spreading the stuff around pretty easy, but never got the texture I wanted. My wife suggested doing the finish pass with a full-sized foam roller, mostly to minimize the lines between strokes. She's a genius! Not only to I get a smoother look, the texture pattern is almost perfect (see pic below).
Gotta get to the end of these before I burn out. Really like what I see and the build experience has been a real education, but I'm ready to be done.
Plus... I've decided to build XF guitar cabinets for 2 of our boys for Christmas...

Re: A pair of OT112s and some T39s
Well, it's button-up weekend. Subs are finished and I'll be spending some quality time with the soldering iron and screw gun a little later. This has been quite a journey and really looking forward to hearing the completed system. And yes, I'll post a review.
Posting some pix below. Once I had the foam topper cut and dry-fitted into one of the OT112s, I decided I couldn't stand the pure white. Just too stark against the black. I know... it will only be seen through the handle/ports, but it bugged me. Soooo... I bought a bottle of black Rit dye and proceeded to dye my foam black. Well, not black exactly. I assumed it would turn out greyish, but it's more blue than anything. Weird. But it's not white and that's good enough for me!
More soon. Real soon.

Nice touch, man. That looks pretty nice. Also cool to see the Speakon ports per the plans instead of the more typical jack plate.

At risk of sounding like the fun police
or someone thats ingested too much 'Haterade', I still have to ask this question...
Are those Titans 16 inch slims? IIRC Bracing needs to be not more than 8 inches apart, anybody else can clear this up?
The "Fleet" looks great other than that, gonna make one hell of a racket if they ever get to run all four together

Re: A pair of OT112s and some T39s
Done! Well, mostly. I have some touch-ups to do and a V-Plate to complete, but otherwise, it's done.
Applied power this afternoon and, after remembering how to work my digital EQ (and sorting out a couple of flakey cables), I have some thoughts.
First, these things are meant to EQ. I've read this several times before, but it's really true. Playing flat, I thought the OTs sounded a little... idk... stressed? Not sure how else to describe it. After a quick Auto-Q they absolutely sprang to life. Very nice sound overall. I had them on a table, so guessing stand-mounting will sound even better. As advertised, very wide dispersion, narrow vertical and long throw. Amazing long throw. Clarity starts several feet away from the cabinets and it just doesn't stop as you walk away. Amazing.
There's a LOT of sound coming from those handle/ports on the side. Like, really a lot.
The T39s are just awesome. Solid as a rock and thumped well from the beginning. Way less cabinet vibration than I expected. Tried three different setups. Simply paired together and firing forward, they sounded great, just not as much ooomph as I wanted. Paired, firing into the garage wall (1 foot away), was even better and the low end seemed extended some. Finally, I V-plated 2 and fired forward. I could actually hear the difference as I lowered the V-plate into place. Can't wait to set this in a corner somewhere and let it rip.
Didn't get to play at war volume today as we live in a cul-de-sac full of old people. They've been curious about my build and now they know...! Played a wide variety of content, from rock to jazz to metal to classical. It all sounded well-balanced and as natural as I could hope - sitting on a table in my garage. Anxious to get some proper gear attached in the next week or so.
Measurement-wise, I pulled out my R/S digital SPL meter. At 2.83 volts, V-plated and measured at the mouth of the (v'd) horn, I got 116dB at 80Hz. Not sure how that compares (or if it does), but I was pleased. Pushed it (with music) as far as 10 volts to the subs, but virtually everything in the garage was rattling at that point and my old neighbor's Chihuahua was freaking out, so I backed it off. Also, at around 2.83 volts, I got about 90dB 15 feet away (with music). Also not sure how that compares, but it's amazing what 1 watt will do!
These were all quickie tests since rain was on the way (may have some of my numbers jumbled). I'll set this up in a real room soon and do some more accurate assessment.
I'm happy with the results so far. Also grateful for excellent plans from Bill and great support from this community.
BTW, a pair of XF guitar cabinets and maybe a couple of wedgehorns are next on the agenda... but I have to lay new floors first!
