On to the Tuba 24's. At first, I was disappointed. I chose the S2010 driver without having the plans, so I'm not sure if it's the best driver for me. I didn't break it in either, shame on me.

Like Bill said, the S2010 is only a good choice when you have 4 or more single cabs or double load a pair. I had single 2010's in my pair of Tuba 30's and they just ran out of gas too soon. (I DJ Hip Hop, house, etc...) Bruce confirmed this down the road when he posted how quickly the excursion hit limit on the S2010's. (I don't remember the specs off hand...)

But don't relegate the T24's to a dusty corner yet... Drop some BP102's into them and you'll notice a difference right away. I converted my T30's to dual loaded 2010's and while it was an improvement I still didn't quite get the output I needed. (I was too lazy/busy to build 2 more T30's and single load 4 of them...) I switched to BP102's and the higher Volume Displacement on the BP102's made the difference I needed. (more output...) The S2010's just found a new home in a set of Omni 10.5's

I am into the T24's - they are great for my band practice - it's a smallish room and they are corner loaded.

But getting home at 12am drunk, trying to make a cup of tea and playing drums for an hour can't be beaten.

Alas a friend of mine was so vigorous on his electric kit even the sound of sticks on pads was loud enough to invoke complaints from neighbouring apartments. Oops.

How is the mid/hi balance of the OTop 112 with the NSD 2005? Is the OT12 also loaded with a 3012HO? The 2005 is a step up compression driver. The titanium diaphragms are supposed to sound very good, clear but not harsh. The one concern I'd have with a passive crossover is that a very high efficiency driver only rated at 50 watts would be much louder than the 12" driver at low power and be at risk of a blown diaphragm at high power unless padded back to match the drivers.

Thanks, that's what I was waiting to see. I take that to mean the latest OT12 plans with the NSD 2005 option have the correct crossover specified; so by following the plans the 3012HO and NSD 2005 will work together as they should and this won't be an issue. I'm only having two OT12's built but it seems that will be enough for my system. Now the wait...

The NSD will have higher sensitivity than the 3012, but compensating for that is one of the reasons why you have EQ.

I'll use a DriveRack PA+ with the pink noise generator, RTA mic, and auto eq to generate the initial eq set for the OT12/T39's. The attenuation profile should be interesting.
