Sydney - Do you mean firm as in have the money in hand? That is my plan or I could end up :broke: . Thanks for the advice.

David - I hoped that's what people would think. I didn't feel like I could go wrong with those choices in both small and large venues. But should I Xover passive or bi-amped? Hmmmmm............

Active crossover. I use the DCX2496 unit, but there are plenty of options. Also, I didn't notice a mention of how many of each you were planning on building. If just a pair of each, build the T39's as wide as you have space for because the DR250's can easily outrun them. Back when I had a pair of DR250's and a pair of 14" wide T39's (w/BP102's), I had to hold back the DR250's to the tune of 5 or 6 db to get the balance I liked.

Built:
- Omni 10 (S2010 + piezo array)
- 2 x DR250 (DL II 2510 + melded array)
- 2 x Titan 39 (BP102 - 14"W)
- 2 x Titan 39 (3012LF - 20"W)
- 4 x DR200 (Delta Pro 8B + melded array)

Yeah, for this trial just a pair of each. If they do what I think they will do then there will be many more to come.

The balance has been a concern for me, which I think is why Bill recommended the OT12's and Titan 39's. I haven't ordered plans yet but from what I can tell the 250's are 22 inches wide. In a perfect world Titans that are 20" would mean that 4 could fit perfectly across in the trailer and I think the OT12's I could build 20" wide (could be wrong). I'm fairly sure I could fit them on top of the Titans in the trailer and that would leave room for the lights I just acquired. Shoot, now I'm leaning OT12 because of packing. Can you build a 20" 250?

So many choices, so much indecisiveness.

No. But you can build a DR200 at about 20" cubed. IMHO, the 200s sound better than the 250s.

Which is what I'm doing right now. Except I'm building four DR200's (two per side) to match the output of the two 20" T39's I just finished.

Yes, Good.

Tops are not adjustable on size, especially the DR's. Results would be unpredictable.
