Trigonometry rules give reference to accuracy of cuts.technique for getting angles and length correct with a circular saw?

Cutting square is always good, but we're not talking about cross cuts are we? We're talking about beveled edges, I think.myn wrote:Assuming your saw blade is perfectly square, Can the angle indicator on the circular saw be trusted?
Even with my Cabinet saw, I'm not too worried about exact angles on most speaker cabinet parts. The PL adhesive will fill in gaps, after dry fitting and a little bit of rough sanding to improve the fit.

Aren't most of the angled cuts crosscuts?Tom wrote:Cutting square is always good, but we're not talking about cross cuts are we? We're talking about beveled edges, I think.myn wrote:Assuming your saw blade is perfectly square, Can the angle indicator on the circular saw be trusted?

I wouldn't
The sliding T-bevel is your friend
angles can be drawn on wood from protractor or speed square or other such devices
set the sliding t-bevel or angle finder to angle and use it to adjust your saw to correct angle

Great info! I've got a t-bevel.
What's the technique to align the circular saw blade to the same angle as the t bevel?
