Thanks for the feed back. My advice to anyone starting is to really study the plans and play with the 3-d program. and watch the angles of the horn assembly do they face front or back. and use the supplies they recommend. Then search the forum and ask the other builder if you have a question. They are very helpful. Good Luck with your build. Phil

By they way the tip of a 1/4" is the positive one , right?

By the pictures it seems the gasket of the Deltalite isn't pressed enough...

I can't see what kind of bolts you are using there but good Hex or Socket head bolts
(if not already used...) will let you apply the needed torque to fully press the gasket.

That depends on the gasket material. 2510s were using an all neoprene gasket that compressed fully, but 3012s have a cardboard gasket with a thin neoprene face layer, and I expect that this material would be adopted for other models as well. The neoprene has a tendency to require re-torquing of the fasteners, which is hardly convenient. I like the newer gasket much better.

Thanks for the replies, The foam was put in before I closed her up. I have hex heads and I'll try and tighten them up a little more before the testing. I will finish #2 tonight and test them this weekend. They have their premier in two weeks at the coffee shop and a small outdoor event in 1 month.
I received some new plans from Bill and once these are done and running I will start the T39's 16-20" with 12 inch drivers. Phil

I reopened her up and tightened all of the bolts as far as they would go so hopefully that's enough.

I am a happy man, after some initial disappointment they really sound amazing. I hooked up speaker #1 first and ran a CD through a small PA. It was muffled and inconsistent I was very worried that I had screwed up in the construction or you guys really were a bunch of liars. I plugged in #2 and "WOW" it was just like you guys said. Now for # 1, I opened the top and bottom hatches and checked the wireing and the speaker to make sure it was not damaged. I then remove the 1/4 plug in's and one of the solder joints had broken loose, before putting it back together I tried it again and WOW. I reassembled every thing and Double WOW. Both cabs working to gether and the sound was very loud at 2 on the power knob of the amp. With very slight EQ adjustments the sound was just amazing but my shop was starting to shake so I opened up the garage door and pointed the boys outside and kranked it up to 5 . Holly S&%$&*.
I have to apologize to all of you that I thought might be spreading the truth a little thin. I will give them a good workout this weekend. They are the best coffee tables I have ever heard. T39 to follow.

Thanks everyone. It has been fun for me as well. Your input has helped me several times during this build.
I just did the pressure testing and both tweeter arrays are leaking at the bottom. I will apply a second layer of foam and that should fix it. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out, a few small warts but all in all the look professional and sound terrific. My hat is off to Bill for an amazing design. I think my wife might not agree with my enthusiasm. She knows they aren't coffee tables now. Also a big thanks to Leyland. I made one small error I should have ordered the delux kit and saved myself money and time. I won't make the same mistakes with my T 39 build which starts soon.
Besides performing in church every Sunday I also belong to my old high school Group. The Department of Sound. back from 1969. This summer is our 40 reunion party and our group gets together and plays for it. Steppin Wolf, Beatles, Turtles, Stones, and many more. These boys and a lot of beer are going to make us sound very good.

Leland I noticed that there are two cushions for each of the drivers. One attached and one additional one. Am I to use both? I did make the plywood ring spacer plenty big and routered the internal edge round to match the inside measurement of the driver cushions. Phil

Two? The 2510's I just opened have one, cardboard with a thin foam top. It extends above the frame probably 3/16. As long as you have a good seal and the spacer ring one should be fine.
