Correct - Leland is not the only one offering parts. He's just the least expensive. ;) And if there's anything wrong with your order you actually have someone who understands the importance of customer service to take care of things.

Is Leland the least expensive? I never checked that.

If we're talking value, he's hard to beat.

I did some serious price checking online and locally, and his prices on bare drivers are excellent, although not the rock-bottom lowest you can find out there. But for the kits, you would be hard-pressed to assemble all those parts and pieces on your own and not wind up paying at least 10% over his price. It's that whole economy of scale thing - he buys the screws and glue and corners and handles and all that wholesale and passes the savings on to us.

Thanks Leland. If you didn't do what you do, one of use would have to step up and start selling kits, and probably not do half as good as you do.

Big fat +1 for Bill's table saw jig, highly recommended. I love how it just becomes impossible to miss 90 degrees. Also, not touching the workpiece keeps your fingers away from the blade. If you've never worked circular saws or routers, be respectful. The faster it revs the harder it bites.

Here's my diy router jig, and a few pics with cheap router attached. Good enough for occasional use.

You're welcome. It was just kind of a happenstance. People kept asking where to get stuff for the cabs. I just happened to have wholesale access to everything, through a combination of hardware suppliers and then setting up the electronics side.

Best part is it's fun. I get a real kick out of seeing cabs from the kits. I can't imagine how big a kick Bill gets seeing his designs built by so many folks.

Ha, the only problem with your posed shot is that if you cut the inner circle first, you're screwed!

Can't people use jigsaws anymore?

You're right. I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to figure why I did that, even though I don't remember doing it twice. So I checked my pictures and it all came back.

Not after using a router. I used a jig saw for the first couple of builds, I'm not going back. :D

t30 if you have the space. It's all about size, if you want lots of bass. Tote the biggest box you can manage.
Both are good performers.

so i was hardcore into this and ordered the plans. however. since DEC. i haven't been able to do anything. so i had a question for you guys. Im going to look around locally for help as well. But for what i wanted to build is there anyone in the Upstate NY or nearby area that is considered a BFM builder? i wouldn't really mind paying someone else to build it and just capret/paint it myself. seeing as i haveabout NO free time. I do have another option locally and i'll look into that.

You are free to hire, or commission, anyone to build cabinets on your behalf. They may not build any for themselves, or others, without buying plans from Bill. Talk to your local custom cabinet builders, as they are probably in need of work.
