One other question.
The instructions on carpet coverage have you do one sheet per side, with a seam at each corner.
Is there a disadvantage to doing a single large sheet for 3 sides (with approriate cuts for fold in at the front) to avoid the seams? It seems that, done slowly and carefully, it could work, but as I haven't done this before, I'd rather learn from the experience of others. If there's a good reason why not, I'll just go with the "one sheet per side" method.
Thanks,
JK
Carpet - anyone try "3 sides, one sheet"?

A straight adge and razor knife will address that. When I carpet I use the largest possible piece I can. Less seams = better job.Mikey wrote:If a section should be damaged and you want to replace the rat fur, it'll be easier if you've used a separate piece for each side. Rat fur doesn't wear well, at all.
On the other hand, DuraTex can be easily touched up within minutes, as often as you want.
