Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try turning them both around tonight to see how it sounds. I'll try to post some graphs tomorrow.

I cleared the settings on my minidsp last night to start over and the 20-30hz range improved a lot. I think I had a leftover filter from the T39's on the minidsp input channel that I forgot about. I then set them up in an opposed layout with the mouths facing away. There wasn't a huge difference to my ear, but I plan to keep them opposed to potentially smooth out room modes. There are some voids if you walk around the room, but as luck would have it, the sweet spot is right where everyone sits :D

The first two are no EQ with the only change being that I flipped the subs around. The last is the subs opposed from one another and EQ applied. An 80hz low pass is on all charts.

Mouths facing each other no EQ:

There are still a few dips and peaks I may try to level out, but overall, they sound amazing and I'm really happy with them! The really low stuff is absolutely effortless with so much headroom if you need more. I feel bad for doubting the 12's as they're now exceeding my expectations. It's easily the cleanest low frequency bass I've ever experienced.

I walked outside while it was playing and it was funny to see my windows flexing for dear life . I'll see if I can get a video sometime.

Nice. Good news.
Might as well also check response with both mouths facing left, then both mouths facing right. Possibly even just one cab. More data is never a bad thing.

If they weren't 6' long, I'd try that, but it's a lot of work to move them around with them being tucked in behind the TV  I'm really happy with the way it sounds at the moment, so besides a few minor EQ changes, I'll probably call it a day on the placement as it sounds amazing.

The point of trying different positions is to smooth room modes, so that means taking measurements at different listening positions in the room.

For sure! The response was fairly similar to the graph I posted earlier when I checked it last night from a few different spots in the seating area. It was close enough for me to say "good enough" 8)

The only spot that really matters is where I sit. The rest of my family could care less

I know these subs don't really translate well over video, but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing my window flex from outside of the house

Ha, thanks. Yeah, it was right around 3 weeks. I'd say they were a little easier than the other BFM builds I've done. Nothing too technical!
