Re: Greetings
All the TT variants have about the same response. My TT 2x4 is good to 30Hz.
Re: Greetings
I'm leaning towards the Tuba 24, so I can get the 10'' which can go lower then the 8''.
Now to decide on the best amp for my system.

Re: Greetings
Once again, the T24 is a pro-sound sub, not HT. It's meant to go loud, not low. The driver size doesn't determine how low the speaker will go, that's defined by the horn. You seem determined to have a horn sub that's smaller than your mains. It doesn't work that way. The size of the horn required is based on the wavelengths it's intended to reproduce. A 30 Hz wavelength is twice as long as a 60 Hz wavelength, therefore the horn length for a 30 Hz wavelength is twice as long as that for a 60 Hz wavelength. The only way you can have a sub that's smaller than your mains is with a direct radiating 15 or larger, using an expensive driver and high powered amp to compensate for the much lower sensitivity of a direct radiator. It won't have the impact or very low distortion of a horn, but that's the price paid for a smaller cabinet.

Ok, I'm not looking for a theater sub. This is for 2 channel music only. Thats why I'm confused.

Re: Greetings
For two channel music your LaScala should suffice without a sub, unless you're into techno or DUB or the like, especially as with sufficient EQ the LaScala is perfectly capable to 40Hz. It may take 10dB of EQ boost but thanks to the 105dB sensitivity of the LaScala that shouldn't be a problem for either the drivers or the amp. Have you ever taken an RTA? If you haven't you have no way of knowing what you may or may not be missing. The first step in fixing something is making sure that it's broken.

Thanks Bill. My setup is pure analog, nothing digital in the chain. Tubes, tubes, tubes. I do love the way it sounds as is. I just think I'm missing something.
I haven't taken an RTA but, I have the Wiim Ultra that has room correction that's connected to the Fosi d3 dac set on analog to my preamp, but I need a better mic. I think to get it right.
