Re: Greetings
Welcome Dan,
I'm guessing you're into Metal then?
How's the music scene in your area?

Maybe someone can give me some advice on components to build a set of Tuba 18s. I have a pair of Klipsch LaScala ll, I'm limited of space so I think the 18 will help with my situation. If anyone was to go down the rabbit hole, what drivers & amp would you suggest? Right now I'm using the M&K 70b connected to an external crossovers on the base end of the network. I have them blended in to the best as I can tell, but I know it's not the best choice for my music. I listen to all types of music, so it's not as crucial as to what specific sound that's important. I'm looking for advice on someone s experience on components. Looking forward to hearing from someone who has more knowledge in this build. Thanks, Dan M.

Re: Greetings
Subs must be larger than the mains they're paired with, not smaller. At the very least it would require a Table Tuba to match well with LaScalas. T18 works when paired with bookshelf speakers.

I use a pair of minimally-sized THTLPs with my La Scalas. They work very nicely together.Danmar wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 7:21 am Maybe someone can give me some advice on components to build a set of Tuba 18s. Going bigger (15” driver instead of 12” and bigger cabinet) would have been even better. but I went as large as my space would permit.
Re: Greetings
Would it be a conflict to stack the Tuba 24 under the LaScala?

Re: Greetings
T24 isn't a HT sub, it's pro-sound. As for stacking subs and mains that's almost always a bad idea, as subs and mains very seldom work best within the same footprint. The room acoustics that determine the best placement are very different for mains and subs.

Thank you everyone.
OK, it looks like the Table Tuba is my best bet @ "long style". What are the measurements of the unit? It says, 15x60x?

That I can do. Does that go down to 37hz also? Or does it go lower?
