All very true.... (other than the hair bit...bald as a coot...)
All I kept telling myself was, well I have come this far...just one more thing to try to see if it works.....

I only found this out when I tried fitting the correct Eminence driver into my DR290 and found it wont fit......

I had to buy a flexible shaft drill to re-drill the mounting holes...any body who has built a DR will understand how re-drilling the mounting holes inside that tiny chamber was no small achievement....

I will never build a cab without the drivers again......

Did you just drill out the existing holes a bit? I don't see how you could put in T-nuts after the cab is built. One of the T-nuts came out on one of my DR250's, I just sealed over the hole and let it go.

The speaker baffles on my DR280-290 are circular and pretty much the exact size of my drivers, and as such I had access to the rear part of it unlike a sealed DR250 baffle which extends top to btm and side to side.

What I did was remove the original T nuts (simply by tapping them out with a bolt in place) and re-drilled a new set of mounting holes using a plywood template clamped over the DR speaker baffle.

Once the new holes had been drilled using a short chuck flexi shaft bit, I placed the T nuts by hand and pulled them in using a bolt and flat washer.

It was a very tight experience, and a lot of swearing was to be heard from the garage.......

You learn by your mistakes.....
