Being a Yankee (Iowan) that now lives in Texas I'd just like to say that all of the above is completely correct and hilarious!

I've been to Iowa, and went out with a girl from Des Moines. She had an accent that I thought was German, but she was a native Iowan. My keyboard player in that band was from Nebraska. I never could figure out what he meant when he said he was going to warsh his clothes.
OTOH when told I was a native Bostonian people wondered why I didn't sound like a Kennedy. I told them that the Kennedys sounded odd to me.
So do the Wahlbergs. They don't have a Boston accent, they have a South Boston accent.

Wicked, and wicked good, is more associated with Maine. In Beantown it's pisser, usually pronounced pissah.

LOL, my Dad says "warsh" all the time! Seems like some people pick up that accent and other don't. At least it's not a Minnesotan or Wisconsin accent with the long "A" like Canadians.

Been to all of the above, Minnesotans (I married one) and Wisconsinites don't sound like Canadians, not even Saskatchewanese or Manitoban. They do resemble Alaskan, you betcha'.
I was very impressed by the authentic Fargo accent by Martin Freeman in that show last year. I never associated him with being the same actor who played Bilbo in the Hobbit movies.

I guess they don't want to say pissah on air. But Mainiacs are Sox fans too. Not that Bostonians don't say wicked, but it's usually followed by pissah.

I just put the final coat of duratex on my cabinet a few minutes ago. Tomorrow it gets decked out and I'll post some pics.

It will look better than the one I posted. While duratex does last a long time in the bucket, it does get pretty thick while sitting. This new bucket spread much nicer and this cab will look even better.

Starting to look forward to hearing it with the Les Paul and the Boogie going through it.

Ok, number 2 is finished.

Much nicer duratex on this one.....but, from 5 feet away - they look the same. Enjoyable build. Relatively easy except for the compound miter cuts.

I hope to actually plug it in and hear it on Thursday after I bring my amp back home.

Ok, time for an extra chapter to the story......

The guy that I built one of the cabs for had been using an old combo with no speaker for his amp and playing through various cabs.

Looked like this....

He wanted me to just cut off the bottom of the cab to convert it to a head.......the more I though about how to do it, the more I realize it would look like Frankencab.....and I don't like to do crappy work.....so..........

Let built it from scratch!

Measured it out and used BB for the bottom and sides and a piece of 3/4 Oak ply for the top. Matched the shape and size and cobbled it together...

Slapped on some duratex (of course) and I had some left over grill cloth from the XF210 build so used that to make a front cover......unfortunately, it wasn't long enough to do the same orientation, so the runs opposite to the cab....but, who cares, right?
