Lab 15 - 4 ohm - Buyout Special

#1 Post by kkip »

If you can live with the 4-ohm version of the Lab 15 and don't mind the 27 lbs weight, Parts Express has a "Buyout Special" on the Eminence LAB 15/4 for $198.80. Or buy 4 for $178.80 each.

Seems like a pretty good price considering the 8 ohm version is currently $284.99.

kkip,
The regular Lab 15 is a 6 ohm driver, not 8.

And I can't recall for the life of me if the Lab15 4 has a reduced voltage limit, compared to the 6 ohm version...
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

Good catch Grant. Also, on closer inspection, I noticed that the TS parameter are quite a bit different on the 15/4 model as well. For example, Fs is 34 Hz on the 15/4 and 28 Hz on the regular 15. The Qts is .51 on the 15/4 and .35 on the regular 15. So anyone interested in using this driver would need to carefully check their plans against these specs first.
