Easy Painting Stand for OT12

#1 Post by mlkras »

I like to be able to paint my OT12 Speakers all at one time. I am a contractor and as a consequence I have a lot of 5 gallon empty joint compound buckets around and I use them for everything. It turns out that an inverted bucket makes a nice painting stand for an OT as shown in the picture. I paint my cabs first with a coat of exterior black latex and then top coat with Duratex. Whenever any of the local paint stores have a complimentary paint offer I always buy black paint! The edge of the bucket pits perfectly inside the spacer ring on the inside of the cabinet.

Good tip Mikras.

I have many woofer circles left over from many cab builds, so I use those like you use your buckets.

One of mine has become a replacement steering wheel for a toy riding tractor and another just became the nose of an airplane swing.

I also use a couple as spacers on uneven ground when I put the trailer ramp down.
