Well, the driver was tight, so I flipped it over and did the 5 degrees on the other end. Because I was only cutting the one side and only 5 degrees to one edge, the overall length was still the same so it came out perfect. Crisis averted! Back on track now... I also got panel 5 cut last night, so it will go in tonight.

Clamps and board to square it up. Looks good.

Stay tuned for panel 5 tonight!

Braces, no kidding! I remember the dual braces in the T24 wide. I loved the single braces in the slim.....

I remember the braces were not fun to cut on the T24. I remember thinking I wonder if I could cut several pieces of 1" dowl rod and put them in a line. Would be pretty simple to cut on the the miter saw.

I think my problems brace problems on the first few builds were due to the fact that I was not square. I've learned a lot from then. I'm expecting this to go better....

Panel 6 went in tonight. Not much trouble, pretty square! Looking good! Also found another use for the W Squaring Jig!

Doing the braces tonight. I don't like them. I have no good way to cut 18 inch braces. Do you guys use a jig saw? I can't do it on my table saw with the miter.

Also, Bill, It appears to me that the measurements in the plans and the sketchup for the first set of braces do not match. Can you double check them?

Panel jig is ideal, but I'm still not cool enough to have my own table saw. So I use a circular saw and sled which is just as accurate at the expense of convenience.
Good food, good people, good times.

The measurements in the plans are taken from the Sketchup, rounded to the nearest 1/16 inch, so they are spot on. You should be cutting them on your table saw using a panel jig. The safest way is to screw the blank to the jig, so there's no possibility of kick back.

Ah, ok. I just checked again, you rounded up a 1/16th on both ends. That's what was confusing me. Thanks!

Two reasons. One, I don't expect anyone to cut with 1/16" accuracy. Second, 1/2 inch plywood isn't 1/2 inch thick, so the braces sizes if anything are rounded up to account for that.

Ok, with solid advice, I made a quick jig to attach them to and first cut, perfect.... Notched them out with a router, looking good....

There should be an assembly jig connecting the outside edges of the panels to hold panel 6 squared.
