Designed by Farnell. Offered by CPC in the U.K. The blokes on that side of the pond will need to ring in on the quality.

These look interesting considering they're a grub screw to hold the cable...

If I needed any more cabling I'd pick some up and let you know what they're like but I'm done until spring I reckon.

Two things.....sometimes these Neutrik knockoffs don't fit smoothly into the jacks. And the allen-head set screw would be a real pain if you had to do a quick fix. Neutrik uses a phillips head screw.

Sometimes it is just best to buy the best. Think about it - you build what? 10 speaker cables? Two connectors each, $2 difference per connector - $40 bucks to have the best when you have spent thousands on your system? No brainer. Leave the junk for the amateurs.

+1
Had a guy use some of his own cables from Seismic Audio on some Sound Tech speakers at the radio station . . the Neutrik wannabe's completely trashed the REAL Neutrik Speakons on the speaker cabinet. I literally had to use Vise Grips to dislodge the cable connector and you can only imagine what was left of the cabinet connector.

Cool! Aussie company made good. You can probably get the parts cheaper than we can here too.

Apart from possible poor fitting with "clones", the ultimate answer is the stomp test. Stomp on it. With your foot. If it breaks it's NFG.
Because people will walk on them, drop cabs on them, use them as footholds to climb cabs, and handholds to move cabs. And if it doesn't pass the stomp test it simply won't stand daily usage.
Neutriks stand up to it.
Seems Amphenol does too.
Built:
DR 250: x 2 melded array, 2x CD horn, March 2012 plans.
T39's: 4 x 20" KL3010LF , 2 x 28" 3012LF.
WH8: x 6 with melded array wired series/parallel.
Bunter's Audio and Lighting "like"s would be most appreciated...

I've used Amphenol connectors before, 1/4" and XLRs and they're genuinely excellent quality. The jacks in particular are superb and I favour them over any other brand I've tried.
