This evening's progress includes:
panel 10 (bottom), panel 11, the rest of the driver flange and prepping panel(s) 7.

I want to mention that I severely dislike the camera on my cheap cell. It has fisheye that always makes my cabinetwork look out of square. Honest, I double-checked, it's spot on....

Panel(s)7 are laying inside the driver chamber. Don't panic, I did not add any extra bracing.

NICE! Looking great. This last pic you posted was exactly the step I was dreading in regards to using the new plans...it scared me off. Yours is looking spot-on. Glad you commented about the braces in the driver chamber. I was about to say "Um...WTH?" :loler: BTW, i'm digging your bent metal handle on the alignment jig. Very snazzy. Wait...or is that one of those hand drills?

That's a speed handle. Great for screws in the absence of a powered driver.

He is strong with the way of the wrench. :ugeek:

Dude! That's my cordless rechargable screwdriver! It runs on Mountain Dew....

Regarding the front-loading flange: It had me concerned at first, but then I decided that if the instructions were worth their salt, I would trust them.

Cheers Bill. You didn't let me down!

Trying to keep my pace up, without compromising.

First two cabinets nearly done, need some cure time, sides put on, driver and access cover.

Next two cabinets started going together today. Panels 1 through 4 done. I'm going to let the PL tighten up overnight and then carry on tomeorrow afternoon.

I guess while I wait, I might as well start making up the baffles for my OT12s.....

You started after me and you'll finish before me. How'd you do that, man? LOL! They are looking GREAT, draehn!! I see you're putting the 6/10 braces in before putting the second side on. I am thinking about doing that as well. Then, I could paint the whole mouth assembly, including the braces, before slapping the 2nd side on. And there'd be nothing to tape off, either. Hmm.

The OTop baffles are a huge PITA. If you are making more than 2 tops, I'd suggest making that first baffle perfect and using it as a routing template to do the rest. Keep up the great work, buddy!

Quick question for you: The angled ends of the 6/10 braces. Are yours just glued to panel 3 or did you toenail brad nails in there too? THanks.

Actually neither.... :fingers: I laid the units on their backs, glued up, and set the braces in there. Then I screwed the bottoms and the one side in. Scrap-jigged the other side, and then put about 25lbs. of weight on the top part for 6 hours. I may still toenail the top part before I slap the side on....

Here's the OT12 baffles. I guess I haven't lost my touch with Mr. Jigsaw. I may still cut out the plugs tonight.

 Nice work on the OTop baffles. I recently bought a new Dewalt jigsaw. It is 10x better than the 20-year old, crappy Skil jigsaw it replaced. I think if I had a better jigsaw when I built my OTops, I'd have had a much easier time w/the baffles.

Thanks for letting me know how you did your 6/10 braces. My bottoms are on already, so I will have to take a slightly different approach.

My bottoms were already on as well. I put a jig board on the bottom to hold the back of the braces and keep them located correctly.

Maybe this will help. It's a little hard to see.

It took awhile to figure out what I was looking at, but I see it now. :) Thanks!

Today I was able to add panels 5 and 6 to cabinets 3 and 4.

Plugs are cut for the OT12s.

Still making progress. Just a little slower. The second pair of cabinets has almost caught up with the first pair:
