Driver mounting screws

#1 Post by CBIERN »

As I will have to mix T-nuts and screws to mount the driver in the Jack I found these at Woodcraft and while
I've searched the forum I haven't found these mentioned. $3.99 for 50 1 1/4 ". Kreg packs were all $16 or more for 100 min. Seems like they'll do the job.

Can you all see any reason why not?
Could I use them all the way 'round and skip the T-nuts for a Deltalite?

I would recommend screws all around for any NEO driver. Particularly in the Jacks and OTops where there are no issues accessing the screws. T-nuts and bolts are overkill (but overkill is never wrong  )
In build order:
O12 with no tweeter.
3 x WedgeHorns.
2 x Jack 10 without tweeters.
2 x DR250.
2 x 16" T39
1 x Tuba 24
2 x SLA Pro (sort of...)

When I did finally use them they were wonderful!
Went in like "butta" and held on like grim death!
Certainly the quickest driver mounting I've ever done :D
