Wow, what a clean build, and the finish work is great too! Totally pro-looking. You all look like you had a blast out there in the desert. Add me to the list of people that's jealous that you can just load up the trucks and go out there and nobody will bother you. I had to laugh and then admire your planning thoroughness; in one pic I see two Port-o-potties on a trailer. Talk about a COMPLETE mobile bar!

Seems those pocket screws are gaining popularity with subwoofer builds and I'm contemplating buying the Kreg Jig to use on my upcoming T48 build. I've never used pocket screws, but understand the basics of how they work. I have a question though. Being that the screws go in through the brace, then into the bottom/side panels, how do you drill the hole in the brace deep enough so that the screw seats well, but doesn't bust through the 1/2" ply on its' other side?

BTW, I totally dig your "little music system for the garage."

I stared at this pic for a minute trying to figure out WTF "that thing with the black handle-things" on it was. I actually thought it was a sandblaster cabinet at first and the black things were the gloves you stick your arms in. Then I realized it was a T60 with some homemade boxes for 6x9 speakers mounted on the business end. Talk about "tunes to work by!! Totally_freaking_awesome.

Thanks miked. It was an awesome weekend. Everyone seemed to light up. So many smiles. We provided Bass, Fire and a place to poop. The rest was up to the crazy participants!

Quick shout out to the land owners Sustainable Life Foundation who let us hold the party on their turf. They were superb hosts.

Turns out a few people at the party have already purchased BFM plans and Lab drivers but never done anything about it. One guy has been holding Lab15's for a couple of years!

My cunning plan is to have a hand full of local people build T60's and some DR280's, we all buy the same amplifiers / drive racks (which I'll supply cheap) and then we can all join forces when we have a calling.

What parts would I have to get (which screws/driver) would I need to use the Kreg R3 you link too? This looks like it would save me a lot of frustration and time when installing braces.

Which is more useful, a pocket screwdriver setup or a jasper jig? I wish I had a template for my handles too... How do people make those?

Well, all of us are slightly different in our work approaches. I do loads of reading and take bits from this person and that. If you search "Kreg R3 Jr. Pocket Hole Jig System" on amazon you'll find the system I use.... also search for "Kreg KHC-PREMIUM Face Clamp" as I found it very useful in securing the piece you are putting pockets into.

Jasper jigs are for cutting holes, usually for baffles. So Kreg R3 and Jasper Jigs are two different tools. Both awesome in their own ways.

Others use brad nails and jig saws to achieve the same. What ever you feel is good!

Very informative reply, Ian. That video answered some of my questions; thanks for the link. I've been flirting w/getting a Kreg jig of some flavor for awhile now. That and a new jigsaw are high on my list.

Good luck w/your big mutha spider problem.

Hopefully that thing finds somewhere else to live and fast!

I gotta comment too....!

I'd love to host a desert party but here in the UK we just have muddy fields..... And our police force are trying to cut down on illegal raves too.....!

I love the Festool 54degree cutting, I will have to do that (Gotta TS55 & Track) was it 44 on the saw and 10 on blocks...?

And i've looked at pocket hole jigs, I've been looking at the Trend, I guess they are all the same its just down to price and how much you want to be spending.

Nice build, these posts are the reasons i like forums !

I suppose it doesn't really matter but in this case I did 20 on the jig and 34 on the saw.
