Staggered/offset from the braces on the opposite side of the panel is preferable. This will help in cutting down panel sympathetic resonance.

Thanks Tom. Are the braces just pl'd in place. I think there are going to be places I can't get a nail or screw in like between panel 4 and 7.

Mine stayed put once I slid them in, but a brad or two will do just fine. Remember, the brads and screws are there to keep it in place while the glue sets.

Once the PL cures, they won't be moving.
