Haven't seen this thread before. I'd be in the "start from scratch" category myself. Nice work nonetheless.

It wasn't the sawing in half that was difficult, it was the extension of 12 to 16" wide that was the mental challenge but even that wasn't too hard. It's doable if you plan well and take one step at a time.

I still use those two subs for some of our group's gigs.
