Hello all, the latest cousins build, a dual loaded 8 inch diver at 19 ½ inches wide for a replacement sub for my cousin. Even after the build the autotuba weighed less than a dual loaded P2 sub. This seems to saves about a ¼ tank gas as my cousin reports. We at first though one 8 inch driver would have enough power but we were is appointed and opted to re-build with a dual loaded 8 instead of building a autotuba with a 10 in driver. If your a competition sub guy looking to build an auto tuba build it dual loaded and save the wood of an under-performing 1st attempt.

- You can never have too much info or notes written on the panels

- For this build we measured our angles from the side panel with the dimensions so everything is fitted

- The greatest tool we every bought, a dry wall square. It seems no matter how good we think were are and with all the double checking of measurements, my cousin and I were never able to make 90 degree cuts on the inside panels. This helped us with that.

- We opted for an non plan assemble of the auto tuba from what we learned from building the tuba 60s. all panels are placed together as pairs with their respective braces. Here panels 2-5 are being fitted.

- In out assembly order panel 7 is the last panel to be fitted before capping.

Nice build! A drywall square might be my favorite tool other than a table saw, it squares up panels, acts as a ruler, and provides a bumper to draw lines on all at the same time.

- All the edges finally met up but the still was a slight discrepancy in the panels widths. So were sanding the highs down so the side panels fits tight.

- These are not the drivers that will rest in the auto tuba but they will work for now. The depth of the driver ment we couldn’t recess the driver panel. These are Lanzar Max8s

- There are 4 ohm svc drivers so were wiring them in series

- Capping, we check with a finishing nail to so if the screws will bite into the wood, here we had 4 mistakes that required a new screw hole.

- the driver access panel was lapped and mitered with scraped plywood to allow for the driver installation.
