The W6 cab build was straight forward, thanks to the experience gleamed in building the W10. It did however, still take a full day. I ordered the deluxe kit from Speaker Hardware, which was shipped the same day. Going this route is a bit of a cop out but I figured it would be worth it as at the only crossovers I was familiar with, are used to join two pipes that are of different sizes or threads.
I painted the cabs with a Rhino type bed liner paint. This covered any imperfections, does not chip and is incredibly durable. Do not apply this with the inspection cover on, unless you are extremely confident in your work, as it will never come off again without a jig saw

I plugged the W6 into a Peavey 8600D powered mixer, which still had the previous monitor EQ settings on it. As I bought up the volume, I was a little startled by the sound. Very high across the full spectrum but easily fixed with the monitor side EQ. Crisp now comes to mind. I did a mike check (although with my voice this was hardly fair to the monitor) and again was impressed with how crisp it sounded. I am sure crisp is hardly a technical term but it sure describes the sound. I then played a regular CD through it and with a little further EQ adjustments, left it playing while I cleaned up my mess. Totally acceptable even in that role. I am extremely pleased with the result and will be looking at additional builds in the near future.
