I copied the picture of your cab and blew it up,it looks like there are area's where you dont have squeeze out on some area's of your braces unless you cleaned up the squeeze out.If not it would be best to make sure you seal those braces before you seal it up or your cab may rattle.Looks good though.

Yeah, I scraped off the excess on the lower 5-8 brace because it will be visible through the horn mouth. Probably wouldn't be an issue really, but I wanted to be sure the paint would stick.

Plus, even if nobody ever saw it, I'd still know, and that wouldn't sit well with my inner perfectionist.

I hear you dude, let me assure you those braces are going nowhere.

Anyhow, here's how things lie currently
T39 - 12.JPG
Hi-tech clamping apparatus in use
T39 - 13.JPG
Finally got 'em closed up.
T39 - 17.JPG
All rounded over, sanded and ready to go.

Managed to get the inside of one of the horn mouths painted before the rain started :( Oh well, it's supposed to be clear tomorrow...

Thanks for the props guys - got a couple of coats of tuffcab over most of the pair today, so should be finished soon :hyper:

Hopefully, they'll be ready in time for their debut at a gig I'm doing next Sunday - live band and disco for a christening do. I'll post a review thread then.

Wahey, they're finished!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
T39 - 19.JPG
Driver in, just prior to leak testing
T39 - 20.JPG
Closeup of one of the drivers. They're Eminence OEM's branded as American Sound. They spec out pretty similar to the BP102-4, but with a bit lower power handling.
T39 - 22.JPG
All closed up and ready to run. Running one of them outside at 10V/50Hz made the shed vibrate, something my old Peaveys never managed. Can't wait to get them running at war volume

Tomorrow I'll set up the limiters etc on my brand spanking new DCX2496 and give them a little thrash while the house is empty

Very nice! I had some OEM rebranded Eminences for subs (pre BFM days) and they worked well. Big xmax 18"'ers. Don't knock the shed down!
