pond's pair of pink T60s

#1 Post by pond »

Nothing really noteworthy yet, got all my rough cuts done and the driver holes cut.

Some pics up on facebook HERE.

Still deciding on a contrasting color for the interior of the throat, leaning towards neon pink? Thoughts?

Will take some saw porn shots today :D

Lol you are the second person to ask if they are for home use, no, they are for DJing ;>

The hardest part of this build is waiting for the damn PL to cure so I can add another panel!

Are you not using any fasteners? I usually use screws to hold the panels while the PL cures, that way I can do several panels while the PL hardens! 2-4 screw per panel is enough to hold it square if you're using plenty of scrap jigs screwed to the panels..

I thought for some reason you weren't a dj.. But when I'm building my fleet of t60s, I'm probably going to just air nail the panels, provided the plans allow that for a large cab.

Love the creative linking of clamps

I like the idea of painting the mouth/throat... do you have a theme to run with for your system? If not, might be best off painting a matte white and using RGB LEDs to acheive the colour you want. Which is also more versatile.

Dude on your pics commenting about throwing 1000w into his car is going to shit when he hears how little power these need to beat the shit out of his chest in comparison to his car... :loler:

+1 I'd recommend using some screws. It makes the job go much easier.

Looks good so far!
