Drivers loaded...leak check in about 8 hours. If all is well they're giggin' with no finish right after that. :chainsaw: I sure hope they're OK. It was tricky bolting down the Lab12s. I got all the bolts in all the way down with hand pressure, but I didn't have the best allen wrench to snug them in with, but they're snug. A light thump of the cone... ...this is a different beast. I recall some thump from my 18" T30's when I loaded them, but not like this. From my little bit of experience with my old front loaded 18" subs, these are are BIG...they make them look flat out ridiculous. Here's hoping for tomorrow. :fingers:

My only concern is leaks on the access panel. I lined just the innermost chamber panels and reducers with the gasket as the flanges and areas outside that just serve to screw the access panel into. The panels and flanges weren't perfectly level, but I'm hoping the gasket will take care of that. Would there be any problem with doubling the gasket seal on the inner chamber if needed?

Thanks!

Donny

No problems of "stacking" the gasket.

What's 'plenty' in terms of quantifiable loudness?

Sheesh...I wish I'd V-plated earlier for this event. When I had just two T30's, I couldn't tell a huge difference between running them side by side vs. V-plating. Four running side by side vs. four V-plating seemed to be a much bigger difference. I was *really* surprised. I had to cut the sub amp back quite a bit. It was definitely more sensitive, but the coverage also seemed to improve. I don't think I got over 15 volts after v-plating, and those were on bass heavy songs. I'm just super happy about it.

Anyway, overall impressions were great. Most of the comments I got were like "Man...that is so clear". The throw was great and dispersion really, really wide. One Panda dubstep tune was just amazing. It was obvious folks really enjoyed hearing them.

Sanding, painting and finish hardware coming soon.

 Very nice. Is the tablecloth moving from the wind or the subs?

I think most of that movement came from the wind, but the subs were doing some moving too. Again, the V-plate was impressive...noticeable improvement from the arrangement in the video. I don't think I'll ever not V-plate again...it's certainly worth the extra effort. Even outdoors, it seemed much more efficient, so less stress on the amps and drivers...and it's a smaller V-plate footprint too. Come to think of it, that's another reason I chose the T30's instead of 39's or 48's. As I considered my regular venues, I didn't have that much corner or wall space for boundary loading.

Speaking of that...v-plating is not exactly inconspicuous, so I'm wondering how to make them as visually appealing as possible at venues where aesthetics is a priority, like a wedding reception. Seems like a white sheet draped down the front would be good to put some uplighting in. Any other ideas?
