I just ordered my wood...that means I've started! I'll post updates as I slowly progress!

Thanks!

I'll have to add that to my marketing for playing live and DJing. Options available for various levels of pressurization... :loler:

Yes...I've looked at those before, and thanks for the reminder. I need to pick up a pair. Since I've had the DEQ, I've used it's SPL meter to help me keep an eye on levels. I think I'm most looking forward to operating with more headroom, plus the cumulative benefits of a bigger group of horns (potential dB's and extension).

Quick question here...since I'll have two 3012lf's and two Lab 12's, does is matter how I load these on the power amp? Should I keep the 3012's together on one channel and the Lab 12's together on the other, or do Lab12+3012lf on each channel?

Thanks!

Wood and hardware are delivered today and are ready to go. I have a gig tomorrow, so hopefully I'll start making sawdust on Sunday. I can't wait! The Lab 12's are very beefy looking. I'm going with 20" width on this pair and that's going to be my max I believe. I expect between that and the Lab12 they'll be about 20-25 lbs heavier (about 75-80 lbs total) than my 18" 3012lfs. Still should be very manageable though. I just can see me moving anything bigger than 20". I'll take the modularity path. I can't wait to hear these four and the OT12's! Hopefully another plus is this build won't happen outdoors on my front porch. This will be in my Dad's old auto bodyshop, which hasn't had a project of any kind going on in it for a *long* time. What a great place to be! I think he'll be really happy to see it in use for something productive. Plenty of space, surfaces, light, an air compressor...all of which were in very short supply on all my previous builds.

Of course man...will put some of those up tomorrow. It's a real mess and very grimey, but that gives it character. It's even got the heater in it from the church I was raised in...very cool (no pun intended)

Here are some shop pics:

Not too pretty, or even neat at the moment, but at least I'm indoors and don't have to tarp everything when I wrap up. Woohoo!

Donny,
Good luck with the second pair, I noticed the rock n roll cart. I have one too and its probably the best thing I have ever bought. The pneumatic wheels are great, but I have to put air in every time I use the thing. Do you have the same problem?

Hey,

Not really...they're holding up well and I don't find myself having to air them too frequently.

I don't have the Rock N' Roll cart, but I used a hand truck with the same pneumatic tires. I have had to add the green "Slime" brand sealant to them, otherwise they are out of air. Follow the instructions to the letter.

That is what I have been considering, slime is some good stuff.
