That's adventurous. It sounds like you won't be using recommended Eminence drivers? You may need a lot of EQ to get a respectable sound from the Jack15 if they don't have the required rising response in their midrange woofers, and make you drive them harder to get SPL up.

Very tidy.

I hope that lovely looking ply doesn't have a thin veneer face.

Are you sure you can't find a suitable 12 inch driver locally? It's true that the Jack 15 goes lower than the Jack 12 or OmniTop 12, but it's not any louder. When you are running with subs, all that low end extension is wasted because the subs take over. Thus, you are bringing a bigger box that's not giving you any advantage.

The Jack 15 will be nice for small events where you don't need subs, but for that purpose you only need 2, not 8. If you can find a suitable 12 inch driver, you would be much better off with 8 OmniTop 12 speakers for the big events.

Another thing to think about is your sub-to-top ratio. For 2000 people, you might be a little shy on bass with just 4 T48s. You might want to increase that to 8 or even 16 to keep up with your 8 tops.

If you're are planning on multiple smaller rigs for rental/use, then i guess the jacks will work, but as other have said, once you add a sub, the only thing you need is an ot12. It's a much smaller, lighter cab that will give you everything you need as a top.

I have jack10's and ot12's. I takes about two jack10's to equal one ot12. As for the work, price and size of both, it's almost identical. The jack15 will be much more of a match on the spl as a top, the down side will be the much bigger cab.

From you first post, it sounded like you couldn't get suitable 12 inch drivers locally. If you can, forget about building more than 2 Jack 15s. Any situation where you need more than a pair of Jack 15s would be much better served with separate tops and subs. Build a single pair of Jack 15s as your small rig and then piles of T48s+OT12s as your big rig.

Nice! Liking the natural finished access panels.

I think I remember this coming up quite awhile ago. I think the solution was some stronger bracing, but I don't remember.
