You're not. I am not an experienced woodworker. Table saws scare the shi-ite Muslim militia out of me. I mulled this for two years back and forth. For me, if you look at the cutting capabilities alone the two are about equal. Good table saws with big motors may come out top. But the Smart table top or whatevervthe name is and especially the SSRK turns it into a much more sophisticated thing than a table saw IMHO. Add safety features and the other measuring, stops, clamps etc and that decided it for me. Above all the safety features. You can do feather thin cuts and your hands are never near the blade.

That's why I'm waiting.

You're not crazy. There's a table saw injury every nanosecond. Not that frequently but it's unbelievably often.

Look foward to a review and photos.

Bad luck missing the sale. Guess what? I did too!

Why do I feel stupid for not joining a forum I have no need of?

Methinks someone needs to consult a digital strategist. Clearly he understands woodwork a lot better than the Internet. :slap: :wall: :horse:

I think I'm going to drive down and pick it up next week. There is a new version of the EZ-One that he says will be ready on Monday. I'm hoping he can show me how to put it together as he doesn't include instuctions

Hopefully he will ship you one UROK. Have you had any luck contacting him?

What saws are you guy's using with the EZ? I'm thinking about picking up a Makita 5008MGA. Also what are you guys doing for dust collection?

I'm using, or rather, I will be using a Metabo KSE68 Plus circ saw and ASA 1202 vac. I like the idea of making a DIY cyclone for the vac.

Metabo offer a second-to-none service out of Shanghai. Tools aren't bad either! Or cheap. :? :broke:

You may want to look up the JP Thien cyclone design. I've made a small version from an old bucket and a handful of scrap pieces. It works very well for me in combination with a small shop vac.

Looks good. I think I'll build one tomorrow. Also ordered a Makita 5008MGA. Looking forward to getting this all setup.

Thanks for the pics. Looks great and easy to build. Now I just need to find some cheap hose. (never thought I would say that)

My Makita 5008MGA just arrived and I ordered it 18 hours ago. Gotta love Amazon Prime.

It was your one I had in mind AntonZ. Thanks! But there were other pics in that thread too, weren't there?

Sorry Lief but I guess asking here makes sense - Anton or others - What's your feedback now you have been using it for a while?

Perfectly happy with mine. Use it all the time whenever I use power tools in the house. I don't think I have more pics of mine online, but others may have posted pics of their methods of dust collection.

I also use a thien baffle collector with my EZ stuff. Works great. I build mine with a 15 gallon plastic barrel that drive thru car washes buy their soap in. Works great. If you are looking for cheap hose, check for pool cleaning hose, it works well and is cheaper than real dust collection hose.

I imagine making tenons would be tough with that circular saw too. :D

And I bet your wife can't store a bunch of crap on top of one of those rails when you aren't using it...... :chainsaw:
Like the others said, I can make great dadoes with my router attachment.

I don't make tenons, but I know others have with the router.

My wife can't store anything on top of mine, cuz it's light enough for me to haul up to the ceiling of the garage when I'm not using it.

Also, try this with the tablesaw. Duplicated a pickguard with the router attachment.

JSWC - thanks!

Great info. I'm most grateful.

And, er...WOW!

What an ingenious template follower. So many possibilities.

How's the play on the SSRK for you? There's a thread over on TSF suggesting a polyc base or dual SSRK. What'd be your opinion?
