OTOP 112's

#1 Post by chrisrbr »

I love the size and weight of my new OTOP 112's. Anything that makes load in and take down easier works for me. Have gigged with these twice so far. The dispersion is a really nice advantage--could walk anywhere in the bar and the sound was relatively unchanged. The vocals didn't take your head off if you were right in front of the speakers.

Did you seal around the tophat where it comes through the panel? If not, you should - needs to be airtight.

It looks like the 3012 option, so there's no venting of the rear chamber into that area.

Picture of the speaker looks like a 2512......but then, I've never seen a 3012HO.....

I was going by the configuration of the phase plug extensions.

Hi guys,
It's the 3012 configuration. Pretty sure everything is correct to the plan.
thanks

Chris, What did you use for grill material?
My initials are in the view finder of every camcorder (REC)
2xOT12(Deltalite 2512 loaded, w/melded arrays)
2xOT12(Deltalite 2512 loaded, w/flat array) "In Process"
4xT30(24", 4012HO loaded)
1xAT

The grills are from Reliable Hardware.com "Custom Speaker Grill - 5/32'' Dia. Staggered - RH-3152" I put a strip of the gasket foam or weather stripping between the grill and the wood. And used rubber washers with the screws. It helped reduce any possiblilty of any rattles.

Wish it wasn't winter here, I would like to go outside and RTA them. They do need a little eq'ing. We have a job in a large banquet hall in a couple of weeks, so that may provide a chance to mess around with the sound when nobody is there. Can't really do that in a bar full of people.

thanks
